What is Radiesse® Filler?
Radiesse® dermal filler is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, and is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. It is setting a new standard for facial contouring and augmentation by immediately adding volume to safely contour, correct, and beautify facial features.
How does Radiesse® work?
When injected in to the skin, the microspheres initially perform as a filler – they immediately provide facial volume for a soft, natural look. The transformation is noticeable right away. Over time, your body will gradually absorb the gel carrier, but the very tiny, smooth microspheres remain.
Once injected, Radiesse® dermal filler starts a process called neocollagenesis, or the creation of new collagen. It stimulates collagen production in your own body and encourages collagen growth around the injection site.
How soon can I see results? And how long will they last?
You’ll see results immediately after treatment. Radiesse® continues to deliver results over time as it stimulates your body to produce new collagen. Results may last up to a year or more for many patients. Individual results may vary, depending on age, skin type, lifestyle, and metabolic rate.
Are there any side effects?
There have been very few side effects reported in clinical trials and actual usage. However, you may experience some common injection-related reactions, such as mild irritation, edema, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection site. These conditions typically resolve themselves within one to two days.

Juvederm®
What is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is the only hyaluronic acid (HA) with FDA approval to last up to one year. Juvederm® Injectable gel is a ‘next-generation’ smooth consistency gel dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your ‘smile lines’ or ‘parenthesis.’ It temporarily adds volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all mammals that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has also been used for more than 20yrs for injection into arthritic joints to add movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.
How is Juvederm® Injectable gel different from Botox® Cosmetic?
Juvederm® is an injectable filler that restores your skin’s volume for a smooth, natural look and feel. Botox® Cosmetic is not a filler – it relaxes muscle activity and is used to treat moderate to severe lines caused by the dominant frown muscles between the eyebrows.
How does Juvederm® work?
Juvederm® dermal filler is a nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment. The Physician eases Juvederm® into the skin using a fine needle to augment/temporarily fill the soft tissue of the dermis to add volume and diminish wrinkles and folds.
The procedure takes about 15 minutes and there is minimal recovery. Although anesthesia is not required, you may use a topical or Injectable anesthetic to numb the treatment area first.
How long till I see results?
After the injection of Juvederm®, you should see immediate improvement in the treatment areas. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing; and one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to 1yr. However, results do vary with every patient and correction is temporary- a consultation with the Physician is necessary prior to injection. Supplemental touch-ups may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.
What are the possible side effects?
Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injection site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling and bumps.
